How learning to train helps you in other aspects of your
life?
‘Learning to train’ others has a huge impact in the way we
grow and progress through life.
This is first in the series where we, at Myndscope, would
like to create an awareness on ‘How learning to train helps you in other
aspects of your life?’
The first is Your mindset:
When you learn to train, you are on a path to keeping
yourself out of your comfort zone for a greater degree of time. This, in turn,
keeps your mind agile and alert. Not only do you learn to think on your feet,
and ironically, your mind also learns how to prepare better before going into
the ‘ring’. You are seen something of a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ so you are spurred
to keep yourself upgraded on your area of expertise all the time. This could
also reflect on areas not connected to your expertise, as you become very adept
at doing research and analysis on whatever task you take up. Your mind
automatically attracts information which you seek.
At Your physiological level :
On a physiological level, learning new things is good for
your brain and your learning increases when you train others. According to most Health experts, the density of the white matter in your brain which
is also called the ‘myelin’ increases when you practice or teach new skills and
that helps improve performance on a number of tasks.
Additionally, every new skill you learn or teach stimulates
neurons in the brain, which in turn form more neural pathways and allow
electrical impulses to travel faster across them. These combinations help you to
become better at everything you do. In fact, these can even help you forestalling
dementia.
